Provider of web-based transportation management software uses DBSophic’s Qure Optimizer to tune performance of SQL Server based application

Qure Optimizer is the first product to implement workload tuning, a new approach to SQL Server performance optimization. Unlike traditional query-by-query tuning techniques, workload tuning optimizes the entire database workload automatically.

After an automated analysis of the TMS workload, Qure Optimizer provided hundreds of specific recommendations, complete with executable scripts for applying the recommendations to production. “We’ve already deployed 334 Qure recommendations to our production system, including 75 new indexes and 27 SQL code rewrites,” explains Hadermann. “The results have been outstanding. Qure Optimizer has greatly increased the efficiency of our application, with some queries now running as much as ten times faster.”
